Retro poppy sounds heralds their comeback

Don’t know about you but we just love Goldfrapp.

For all their different styles and sounds, there has always been something of great interest and of course, the breathy vocals and coy sexuality of Alison Goldfrapp is a winner for everyone.

They are back yet again with ‘Rocket’ which comes from their forthcoming album ‘Head First’. Their 5th record appears to have upped the commercial edge that was pared back on their previous record ‘Seventh Tree’.

It’s a full on return to the electro pop landscape for Goldfrapp, which is sure to be a big plus point for the record buying public. The band has their hardcore fans but there are a lot of floating voters who will pick and choose their Goldfrapp records.

They may have made a lot of fans with a 70s glam rock vibe but this song owes a bit more the 1980s. It’s a musical decade that time never forgets so it is sure to be a popular sound.

We are delighted to have them back and can only hope they will be delighting audiences throughout the summer with festival and headlining performances.
