Paisley pop singer gets a vinyl release
Our friends over at the Cold Blooded Clarity music site are getting a little excited about Record Store Day, which is happening this Saturday, the 17th of April. They need to get out a little bit more but Record Store Day is something worth getting behind.
Digital downloads are all the rage now but there is always going to be a demand for physical products and who can blame an artist for wanting to ensure their music can be found on all the formats?
Digital downloads are great, quick and easy but singers like Paolo Nutini will want to be like their heroes and have records on vinyl.
This is why the singer has announced that his recent 4 track ep ‘Paolo Nutini – Recorded Live At Preservation Hall’ will be available on vinyl this Saturday.
The ep includes ‘Candy’, ‘Coming Up Easy’, ‘High Hopes’ and ‘Pencil Full of Lead’, four songs that make up many of Mr Nutini’s favourite hits, so this release could be a big smash with many of his fans. You know what fans are like, they have to get their hands on records from their favourite artists and will think nothing of buying a song more than once.
The songs were recorded in 2009 in New Orleans, showing just how far the lad from Paisley has come in a few short years. From grasping a missed opportunity of pop loser (err, technically winner) David Sneddon, Paolo hasn’t looked back and his inclusion in Record Store Day shows his standing in the modern world of music.
