Supposedly her best friend is you…aaaaw

We’re now into April and as we hurtle headlong into summer, some of the brightest pop stars are preparing their new releases in time for the festivals. One such act is Kate Nash, whose new record ‘My Best Friend Is You’ hits the stores on the 19th of April.

Digital downloads are the order of the day for many fans but having a physical release in your hands still appeals to some fans and Kate isn’t letting them down. The new record comes in a special edition version which as well as the standard album and a DVD bonus, comes with a 40 page scrapbook!

This is something a little bit out of the ordinary and is said to include sewing patterns. There cannot be too many artists who will have a release which contains sewing patterns, so if you are interested in this rather gentle past-time, check Kate out.

The bonus package DVD includes a bundle of stuff, including a mini-film about the recording of the album. This film has the rather strange title of ‘I Wanna Be A Frozen Pea’ but the real bonus comes from the live footage from Kate’s gigs in March.

One of the festivals Kate Nash will be performing at this summer will be T in the Park where she can be found in the King Tuts tent on the Saturday. Given she is a red head, staying in from the (hopeful) sun is probably best for Kate and her fans.

Lets hope the new album will lay the foundations for a terrific T in the Park set by Kate.
