Will there be a lot of new material in August?

The Saturdays have been hitting the festival circuit recently and we all know by now that there is a new single coming in August. ‘Missing You’ features a video shot on a beach, so we can only hope that it is an upbeat summery number, even if the title may suggest a lovelorn track.

There are leaks of what may be the cover for the single. We can’t guarantee that this is the cover for the new single but it’s more than anything we have seen to this point.

It looks as though the girl’s previous logo is back with a vengeance, perhaps in an attempt to move away from what some people see as a disappointing second album.

There is definitely a bunch of new material available for the girls to release. Una Healey sent a tweet to her followers stating that the girls will be performing a new song tonight when they perform at the Isle of Man festival. The song is said to be called ‘Higher’ but is believed that the girls will not be playing their next single ‘Missing You’ tonight.

However, there are some internet sites claiming that a press release indicates there will be an album released the week after ‘Missing You’.

The ‘press release’ which we haven’t seen so we cant say if its real or not is said to include ‘Forever is Over’ and ‘Ego’ from the ‘Wordshaker’ record. With ‘Missing You’ included on the track-list, there is said to be another five songs on the release, taking it up to 8 songs in total.

As we said, perhaps its a hoax, perhaps its genuine, we’ll no doubt learn soon enough.
