Guest vocalist shows new life for the girls

Not everyone is a huge fan of The Saturdays but it has to be said that the girls are rarely out of the papers. Even at this moment when they look to be building up for a third album has, the girls are keeping busy but staying in the public eye.

There was a rockier sound on The Saturdays second compared to ‘Chasing Lights’, so it is probably not a huge surprise to see that some of the girls are interested in teaming up with some guitarists. It would be a step too far to go all out but a one-off track with another band is a great way to go about it.

Frankie is the Saturday with the highest profile so it makes sense for everyone for her to be the girl that ventures out and it is Frankie that provides guest vocals on ‘Undercover Lover’ with Kids In Glass Houses.

It is good to see Frankie having a bit of fun in the video as she hasn’t had the best of public images and perceptions in recent years. Dating one of McFly left the singer open to the abuse that only fans of boy bands can somehow muster. Whereas Una and Mollie have built up a reputation of being fun and a good laugh on an evening night, Frankie hasn’t had the opportunity of improving her image.

Hopefully some time away from the girls whilst hanging out with the boys may allow her to change the way people think about her. That and putting the girls back in the minds of the British record buying public!

Do you like Frankie’s vocals on this track?
