New song from the band’s Scotland show

Anytime a band is preparing new material, it makes sense that their fans are eager to hear what it sounds like. Some fans will want it sound the exact same as their pervious material, after all, that is the reason they fell in love with the band.

Other fans want the band to try new things and provide fresh material that is a step on from their previous efforts.

Obviously the two camps cannot be satisfied in a single track but if a band is releasing a new single or album, there is the opportunity to keep everyone happy.

This is Popland - T-Shirts for The Saturdays

Una from the Staurdays announced on stage last night that the girls will be releasing a mini album in August featuring old and new tracks. Everyone has heard about the forthcoming single ‘Missing You’ but ‘Higher’ is the other new song that has been getting an airing of it recently.

You can see a clip of it performed in Hamilton below:

On first impression, we have to admit to liking the song. The 30 second clip of ‘Missing You’ that is doing the round is not long enough to make a proper judgment but this song is a lot more like the material we want to hear from the girls.

It’s bright, its breezy and its upbeat.

It’s also got a very punch chorus that will be stuck in your brain all day, which ahs to be a great thing whyen you are talking about a pop song. Okay, the dance routine isn’t going to be troubling anyone who regularly hits the dance floor but thats never been what The Saturdays have been about.

If this is the barometer of new material, can’t wait to hear more from The Saturdays!
