It’s time for the Good Stuff

It’s the eve of the World Cup and even if you are not a big fan of the football, you should be able to enjoy the spectacle and excitement of the tournament and of course, there is the official World Cup song and concert.

The song features Shakira, which is reason enough to take an interest in the track and tournament. The woman is a global popstar and probably the most fitting singer to perform on the song. The UK may still be enthralled to violent racist Cheryl Tweedy but when it comes to world wide fame, Shakira takes some beating…and thankfully not a beating in the manner Cheryl Tweedy dishes out to toilet attendants.

The Goodwill Ambassador for the UN who is in the country to perform at the opening party has spent time touring schools and helping the foundation to ensure the nation will see a benefit from the World Cup for many years to come.

One of the things that any nation needs to offer its population is a strong education as this will help bring benefits for future generations. Shakira was touring schools in South Africa, meeting children but also highlighting the need for education funding for youngsters in the region.

Shakira has a tremendous record of charity work and it is always good to see when a star utilises their fame and fortune to bring benefits to others. We’re a fan of the music and she’s a lovely looking lady but having a charitable side ensures that Shakira is one of our favourite pop stars on the planet.

Are you watching the World Cup whenever, wherever you are?
